Welcome to PARENT PARTNERS. This is a new function created for the
DuPage
Figure Skating Club. The goals are to:
PARTNER with the DuPage Club and serve as a common voice for parent needs
and expectations for all Club activities;
PARTNER with coaches, skating directors, judges, and other members of the
skating community and serve as a sounding board for related activities;
PARTNER with all skaters to insure their skating life is filled with the
best memories that can be leveraged for whatever career choices they make in
the future.
To get started, we first surveyed all Club members and asked them to rate and
rank a number of ideas (like a Lecture series, training guidelines, to name a
few). THANK YOU FOR THE GREAT RESPONSE, MEMBERS!!! From this input, we will
develop a list of priorities for 2001, 2002, etc. We will communicate our
efforts through this Web page and the DuPage newsletter. So, look here for an update.
A few quick answers that we know well have for sure
high interest in a
Clothing Resale
we thought after Regionals would be a good time for
that so stay tuned for the details
it will probably be limited to competition
costumes/testing outfits/dress sweaters, etc.
Many members also liked the idea of a
letter that explains absenteeism for
qualifying competitions. Youll find on this page, a
letter regarding the
upcoming Upper Great Lakes Regional Championships from Ms. Jan Serafine, our
Club president. You can print this letter and give it to your principal.
We also plan to share any news, tips, personal stories etc. that come our
way. Any info you might have, that you think would benefit other skating
parents, please pass them along. Best method is through e-mail
DuPageFSC@hotmail.com
which we assume you have access to if you are reading this now!
